This design was created in response to an unsolicited inquiry from the owner of Bravoure Brewery asking to incorporate a mixed media piece into the bottle label for their pale ale. The original art consisted of a found photograph of penitents praying at a shrine that had been painted over and altered. The work demonstrates how companies may tacitly recognize that their products relate to the satisfaction of spiritual desire.
